KALADA APIAFI

Kalada Apiafi, the firm's Managing Director, has been a Management Consultant for over 27 years and trainer for over 22. He has an MBA from Liverpool University and is a Certified Trainer (International Training Fellow - ITF) of the JCI University, USA and Centre for Management Development (CMD), Nigeria. He is also a Certified Trainer of Trainers.

He advises several Public and Private Sector Organisations in Nigeria and other countries on Policy, Strategy and Leadership.

His work experience includes Coopers and Lybrand Associates (Management Consultants) as Economic and Public Policy Consultant and Ernst and Whinney Consultants as Resident Consultant - Port Harcourt. He was also Consultant to the Rivers State Energy Bureau and part of a Team that developed a new Community Interface Model for a major Oil and Gas Company.
Recently, he was appointed Consultant to the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency, a development initiative of the Rivers State Government.

He was Lead Consultant for the MSE Sector Study for the Niger Delta Regional Master Plan and the Blueprint for Development of One Village One Product in Nigeria and an Associated Expert of the Africa Project Development, a scheme of the International Finance Corporation, African Development Bank and 15 donor countries, for the development of SMEs in Africa.

His consulting and training work spans Nigeria, Cameroun, Ghana, Gabon, Tunisia, Benin Republic, Togo, Denmark, Burkina Faso and South Africa.

He was part of a study team of Nigerian leaders from the public and private sector to a workshop on Development of SMEs in the Era of Globalisation - The Relevance of the Israeli Experience.

He is on the Board of some leading Organizations including:

• Board of Governors, Brookstone School, PH (Chairman)
• Board of Governors, Brookstone School, (Secondary) PH
• Board of Directors, BOF and Co. (Insurance Brokers Limited)

He is actively involved in Junior Chamber International (a worldwide Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs) and in 1997 was conferred with Senatorship of the organisation, making him a life member. He is also a Council Member of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce.
